Georgia’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs releases information on the meeting between Lasha Darsalia and the U.S. Assistant Secretary of State

Georgia’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs has released information regarding the meeting between Deputy Minister Lasha Darsalia and U.S. Assistant Secretary of State Brendan Hanrahan.

According to the ministry, during the meeting held at the U.S. State Department, the parties discussed key issues related to bilateral relations.

“Within the framework of a working visit to Washington, Georgia’s Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, Lasha Darsalia, met with U.S. Assistant Secretary of State Brendan Hanrahan. The meeting was also attended by Georgia’s Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to the United States, Tamar Taliashvili, and Deputy Assistant Secretary of State Sonata Coulter.

During the meeting at the U.S. State Department, the sides discussed important issues of bilateral relations. The Georgian side once again emphasized its readiness to reset relations with the United States and highlighted the importance of renewing the strategic partnership. The meeting also addressed ongoing processes in the region and prospects for cooperation with Georgia. The American side reaffirmed its unconditional support for Georgia’s sovereignty and territorial integrity,” the statement reads.
