The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Georgia has released information about the meeting of Deputy Minister Lasha Darsalia at the US Department of Commerce.

More specifically, according to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, within the framework of his working visit to Washington, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Georgia Lasha Darsalia held a meeting at the US Department of Commerce with the Under Secretary of Commerce for International Trade William Kimmitt and Under Secretary of Commerce for Industry and Security Jeffrey Kessler.

The meeting was also attended by the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Georgia to the US Tamar Taliashvili.

"The parties discussed the development of Georgia-US partnership in the areas of transport and logistics, regional trade, digital technologies, artificial intelligence and innovation. The conversation touched upon ongoing infrastructure projects and prospects for further cooperation in this direction. Attention was focused on Georgia's role in the development of the Middle Corridor. In this context, the parties discussed the readiness of the US to implement investments in the high-tech sector," treads he statement.
