Mikheil Kavelashvili and Georgia’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Maka Botchorishvili, met with U.S. Vice President J.D. Vance and U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio on the sidelines of events dedicated to the opening of the Winter Olympic Games. The information was released by Mikheil Kavelashvili’s administration.
According to the statement, Mikheil Kavelashvili and Maka Botchorishvili attended a reception hosted by the President of the International Olympic Committee, Kirsty Coventry.
“At the event, Mikheil Kavelashvili and Maka Botchorishvili met with leaders of various countries, including U.S. Vice President J.D. Vance and U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio. During the discussions, particular emphasis was placed on the shared values of the two countries.
Mikheil Kavelashvili will also attend a dinner hosted by the President of Italy, Sergio Mattarella, in honor of foreign heads of state attending the opening ceremony of the 25th Winter Olympic Games,” the press service statement said.
