Kakha Kaladze on EU Prize in Journalism - We have said before that violent groups were being incited directly from outside the country, which is very grave

We have made numerous statements that violent groups in the country were being incited directly from outside, - this is how the mayor of the capital, Kakha Kaladze, responds to the issue of awarding the prize to the online outlet "Publica" in one of the nominations of the competition "EU Prize for Journalism 2025".

As he noted, the recent violent events are being incited from outside the country, which is a very serious and incredible fact.

"We have made numerous statements that violent groups in the country were being incited directly from outside. Representatives of European countries, various officials, ambassadors were involved in this, which is very sad. We also stated that no one condemned the violence in question, on the contrary, it was constantly incited. Look at how police officers in the United States or European countries treat violent people who destroy, break, and abuse police officers. They respond to them accordingly. But here, violent groups are being incited, which is very grave and unimaginable," Kakha Kaladze noted.
