According to the press service of the Government of Georgia, by the government’s decision, athletes competing on behalf of Georgia at the Winter Olympic Games will be awarded cash prizes for achieving podium finishes.

Specifically, similar to the Summer Olympic Games, the prize for a gold medal will be 1 million GEL, for a silver medal - 500,000 GEL, and for a bronze medal - 300,000 GEL.

“Georgian athletes will compete in figure skating and alpine skiing at the 2026 Winter Olympics,” the information states.
