I will not comment on specific proposals, because unless everything is agreed, nothing is agreed, - said Kaja Kallas, High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy.
The response followed a journalist's question about whether the port of Kulevi in Georgia will be included in the 20th package of sanctions against Russia.
"Work on the 20th package of sanctions is still ongoing. We have made many proposals, and I also expect that in the G7 we will talk about banning maritime services.
So I will not comment on specific proposals, because unless everything is agreed, nothing is agreed," - said Kalas.
Sky News and several international media outlets have reported that the European Union plans to impose sanctions on ports of third countries within the framework of the 20th package of sanctions against Russia. The European Commission has reportedly presented a new package of sanctions against Russia, covering the energy, financial services and trade sectors. The package includes sanctions on ports in third countries, in particular, the ports of Kulevi in Georgia and Karimun in Indonesia. The EU sanctions package will also include 42 oil vessels from Russia's "shadow fleet".
