Tengiz Sharmanashvili: Fischer’s term ends in summer; I suggest he join a radical organization, maybe even apply for Georgian citizenship; as for sanctions, no one can scare us

Peter Fischer’s diplomatic mandate will end this summer, and I suggest he join a radical organization - submit an application, and maybe even acquire Georgian citizenship, said Tengiz Sharmanashvili, a Georgian Dream MP, in an interview with Interpressnews, commenting on the statements of Germany’s ambassador to Georgia, Peter Fischer.

Sharmanashvili emphasized that he no longer views Fischer as Germany’s representative, but rather as a representative of “radical Georgian and Western movements in Georgia.”

“No one can scare us with sanctions - neither Germany nor anyone else. Let’s close this topic. Commenting on Peter Fischer’s statements has already lost its purpose. I know it’s prohibited for a diplomat to join any organization, but his mandate ends this summer. His term will expire, and I suggest he join a radical organization. Submit an application, maybe even get Georgian citizenship. He makes statements worse than theirs and is more radical than them. God help him if that’s what he wants. I no longer see him as Germany’s representative; I see him as a representative of radical Georgian and Western movements in Georgia,” Sharmanashvili said.
