Israeli Embassy: While Iran’s murderous regime is killing thousands of people in the streets of its cities, Tbilisi decided to celebrate the anniversary of the Islamic Revolution alongside this regime by illuminating the Mtatsminda Tower in the colors of Iran’s flag - what message does this send?

The Israeli Embassy in Georgia responded to the illumination of the Mtatsminda Tower in the colors of Iran’s national flag.

"While Iran’s murderous, terror-supporting regime is killing thousands of people in the streets of its cities, oppressing its own citizens, and actively engaging in terrorist activities both regionally and globally, Tbilisi decided to celebrate the anniversary of the Islamic Revolution in Iran by lighting the Mtatsminda Tower in the colors of Iran’s flag.

What message does this send from Tbilisi to the region, to the world, and to the Iranian citizens who have long been fighting for freedom and democracy?" - reads the embassy’s statement, published on its Facebook page.

On the evening of February 11, the Mtatsminda Tower was illuminated in the colors of the Islamic Republic of Iran’s flag. This day marked the anniversary of Iran’s 1979 Islamic Revolution.
