Maka Botchorishvili - Within the framework of the Munich Conference, we will talk about how we consider ourselves as part of European security and what contribution we make to it, as well as how important it is for Georgia to be taken seriously

The Munich Security Conference is an opportunity for Georgia to develop a more serious partnership, which will be aimed at the well-being of both Europe and Georgia, - Georgian Foreign Minister Maka Botchorishvili told journalists.

According to her, the Munich Security Conference is an opportunity for Georgia to communicate with partners and conference participants.

“Of course, we should talk about our priorities as much as possible. In particular, let’s talk about what Georgia wants, how Georgia sees European security, how we see ourselves as part of European security, and what contribution Georgia makes to what is being discussed in Europe today.

Also, how important it is that Georgia is taken seriously and enjoys the attitude that will make it possible to have a more serious partnership, which will be directed towards the well-being of both Europe and Georgia itself,” Botchorishvili noted.

In addition, as the Minister noted, many events are planned within the framework of the conference, one of which will be dedicated to connectivity and the importance of the Middle Corridor in the context of European security.

According to the Minister, in this regard, it is especially important to present Georgia’s role in the Middle Corridor.

“It is important for us to present Georgia precisely from this perspective and to talk about Georgia’s importance in the Middle Corridor and the importance of the Middle Corridor in general for Europe today and for connecting Europe and Asia,” said Maka Bochorishvili.

Maka Botchorishvili’s comments were disseminated by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
