Designer Datuna Sulikashvili, accused of drug-related crimes, has signed a plea agreement. This information was obtained by InterPressNews.
The agreement reached between the parties was approved by Judge Tamar Makharoblidze.
As the prosecutor told InterPressNews, the basis for concluding the plea agreement was Sulikashvili’s confession and his cooperation with the investigation.
According to the plea agreement and the court’s decision, Datuna Sulikashvili was found guilty. He was sentenced to 6 months of actual imprisonment, with an additional 4.5 years of suspended sentence. In addition, Sulikashvili was ordered to pay a fine of 50,000 GEL. He was also deprived of certain rights provided by law, including the right to drive a vehicle and to hold public office.
Datuna Sulikashvili will be released from Gldani No. 8 facility in 4 months — on June 9.

He has been charged under Part 3 of Article 260 of the Criminal Code of Georgia, which involves the purchase and storage of a particularly large quantity of narcotic substances. This crime carries a penalty of imprisonment from 8 to 20 years or life imprisonment.
