Tata Khvedeliani: “Dream” wants to blame others for what is happening in the country, but it is clear that isolation of the country, impoverishment of the people, enrichment through nepotism and corruption have become our daily reality, and out of fear of losing all this, you are destroying even the achievements made so far

“What is happening in the country today, ‘Dream’ wants to blame on others, but it is as clear as day that the isolation of the country, the impoverishment of the people, enrichment through nepotism, systemic and organized corruption have become the daily reality of our country, and out of fear of losing all this, you are destroying even the achievements made so far,” - this was stated by “Gakharia for Georgia” MP Tata Khvedeliani to journalists.

According to her, “Georgian Dream” has refused the dream of our ancestors and future generations to make Georgia a full member of the European Union.

“Today marks exactly 5 years since Giorgi Gakharia resigned from the position of Prime Minister because of the course from which ‘Dream’ could no longer return.

Yes, that was the period when we were a leading state in the region and the U.S. Secretary of State visited Georgia to meet with Prime Minister Giorgi Gakharia.

For today’s ‘Dream,’ a greeting and handshake is already considered a great success in Georgian-American relations.

Georgia was the leader of the Associated Trio, but today the Georgian government has chosen an unclear foreign policy course which it calls multi-vector, but in reality this course means the complete isolation of an occupied country and its being thrown into the jaws of the occupier.

‘Dream’ has refused the dream of our great ancestors and our future generations to make Georgia a full member of the European Union - of course, proceeding from the interests of the Georgian people who deserve to live in a civilized state.

‘Dream’ is denying the Georgian people membership in such a family where an elderly person is not frightened by the price of medicine in a pharmacy, where a free person is not sent to prison for expressing a different opinion on the sidewalk, where temporarily appointed officials cannot prevent Georgian youth from receiving a decent education in their own country, where people will not think of fleeing their own country because of poverty, and where money acquired through corruption will be returned from every corrupt person.

‘Dream’ wants to blame others for what is happening in the country today, but it is as clear as day that the isolation of the country, the impoverishment of the people, enrichment through nepotism, systemic and organized corruption have become the daily reality of our country, and out of fear of losing all this, you are destroying even the achievements made so far,” - stated Tata Khvedeliani.
