Today's briefing is a simple and clear example of how crime investigation is carried out and how, as a result of this investigation, criminal proceedings are initiated against persons suspected of these crimes, - this was stated by “Georgian Dream” MP David Matikashvili to journalists, commenting on the Prosecutor's statement regarding the “call center” case.
According to him, the Prosecutor's statement refers to a very serious crime, as a result of which millions in funds were illegally attracted from outside Georgia and used for criminal purposes.
“I want to thank the Prosecutor's Office for the important cases it is investigating. We heard the briefing where it was directly stated that a specific crime has been uncovered - the notorious ‘call center’ issue - and specific individuals, including this woman [Eliso Kiladze], have been charged. We are talking about a very serious crime, as a result of which millions in funds were illegally attracted from outside Georgia and used for criminal purposes - and all of this was patronized inside the country by high-ranking officials, a former prosecutor [Otar Partskhaladze], and other persons. It is clear that issues in the field of law enforcement agencies are answered for by these very agencies. Today's briefing is also a simple and clear example of how crime investigation is conducted and how, as a result of this investigation, criminal proceedings are initiated against persons suspected of these crimes,” - noted David Matikashvili.
For information: According to the Prosecutor's Office, Eliso Kiladze has been detained in connection with the so-called call center case.
According to the Prosecutor's Office, in the same case, charges will be brought in absentia against former Prosecutor General of Georgia Otar Partskhaladze, who is in hiding, and members of his criminal group - Davit Mikadze, Irakli Sekhniashvili, and Mikheil Chokheli. The charging document will be personally served to Giorgi Mikadze, who is currently serving a sentence in a penitentiary institution for another criminal case.
