“People’s Power” MP Sozar Subari is coming forward with an initiative to abolish the governor institution.

As he stated at the plenary session of Parliament, the governor institution is quite outdated.

According to him, extra links slow down every decision.

“I really don’t understand why we need extra links, so either one should be abolished or the other. In this case, my proposal is that the governor institution is quite outdated. Personally, I know the majority of governors well, I respect them as individuals, they are good people and quite effective. At some point I was even the curator in this direction, but I believe that when the ministry was created with quite broad functions, this is an extra link,” - stated Subari.
