Protest in Tbilisi announced for February 25 under the slogan: “We will not accept occupation”

A protest march under the slogan “We Will Not Accept Occupation” is scheduled to take place in Tbilisi on February 25.

Participants will initially gather near Vake Park, from where they will march toward the Parliament building.

“Above Tbilisi, the red flag is flying…” – this dispatch was sent to Moscow on February 25, 1921. On that day, Georgia lost its independence, but it did not lose its thirst for freedom. More than 100 years have passed, yet the struggle that the Junkers began in Kojorsi and Tabakhmela has not yet ended. The line of occupation still runs across our country today, and it is our duty to bring this historic rupture to a victorious conclusion.

We are not merely observers. We are the heirs of ’21.

On February 25, we will gather to:

Pay tribute to those who defended the capital until the last bullet;

Loudly declare that the occupation is temporary, but our resistance is eternal;

Show that the cause they began is in our hands, and we will carry it through to the end,” the organizers state.
