Nikoloz Samkharadze on visit to the US - The main task is to reset relations - we will do our best

The Georgian parliamentary delegation will depart for Washington, D.C., tomorrow.

As stated by Nikoloz Samkharadze, Chairman of the Parliamentary Committee on Foreign Relations, the delegation will have meetings with both Congress and representatives of the executive branch.

“We will travel to the United States of America, where we will have meetings with representatives of both Congress and the executive branch. We will attend a conference held on behalf of the Alliance of Sovereign States. We will have the opportunity to hold discussions at think tanks about Georgia-US relations. The main task is to reset relations and not only restore strategic partnership, but also to imbue them with more content than before. We will do our best, we will try to hold discussions on this topic. It will be interesting to see what position the American side will have. The fact that this visit will take place gives us grounds to say that some kind of steps will be possible,” Samkharadze told the Public Broadcaster.
