If we look at the events around us, Georgia has turned into an island of peace — war between Russia and Ukraine, war in the Middle East — there is peace in Georgia, — this was stated by Georgian Dream MP David Matikashvili to journalists while assessing the ongoing processes in the Middle East.

According to him, "the processes taking place in the Middle East highlight how effective the 'Georgian Dream' government has been in ensuring peace in the country."

"Our country is watching the events taking place in the Middle East with concern. It is important for us to ensure peace in the Middle East; therefore, the use of diplomatic channels for de-escalation of the war is very important. The processes taking place in the Middle East highlight how effective the 'Georgian Dream' government has been in ensuring peace in the country and managing all processes in such a way that the Georgian people and the government did not succumb to external pressures and maintained sustainable peace. This is yet another example of how important it is for one's own country to take care of peace. If we look at the events around us, Georgia has turned into an island of peace.
