Kakha Kaladze: Together with my wife and youngest child, we flew from Riyadh to Istanbul Airport and are returning to Tbilisi - I wish peace to the world, to our country; nothing is more precious than that

“Together with my wife and my youngest child, we flew from Riyadh to Istanbul Airport and are returning to Tbilisi,” Tbilisi Mayor Kakha Kaladze announced in a live broadcast on social media.

He also explained how Georgians can return to Georgia from Muscat and Riyadh.

Kaladze thanked the Prime Minister for the decision to organize charter flights.

“I decided to record a video because a huge number of people are calling, a huge number of people are asking where we are, how we are, when we will return to Tbilisi. Right now, me, my wife, and my little child - Nikola - are at Istanbul Airport and we are returning to Tbilisi. What is happening in the Middle East is truly very heavy. I know that many citizens of our country were in Dubai and Abu Dhabi. The Government of Georgia has organized charter flights so that Georgian citizens can return to their own country. I want to express huge thanks to the Prime Minister for this. I think this decision was very important. Absolutely, anyone who wishes to should contact the Georgian embassy and take advantage of this opportunity. There are flights from Oman - there were many questions about this too, a huge number of calls to Anuka - questions about how to get to Oman. By car, without any problems, the road is completely safe. The flights are from Muscat. We flew to Riyadh and now we have landed in Istanbul. Tonight we will be in Tbilisi.

I want to wish peace to the world, peace to our country. I think we all understand that nothing is more precious than that. Peace is very important,” Kakha Kaladze stated.
