Everything related to the criticism of this visit or any other action that brings dividends to Georgia should be viewed as a traitorous act of people who do not care about the homeland, - the First Vice-Speaker of the Parliament, Gia Volski said while talking to journalists about the opposition's criticism of the parliamentary delegation's visit to the US.
According to Volski, the high-level meetings of the parliamentary delegation at the White House, the State Department and the legislative body are an important prerequisite for the development of relations.
According to him, the opposition believes in this process and sees its importance, which "causes hysteria" in them.
“The opposition knows that this high-level visit of the parliamentary delegation, high-level meetings at the White House, the State Department and the legislature, not only mean something, but are precisely the actions that create the prerequisites for the development of relations. [The opposition] believes this, they see this, and it causes hysteria.
It is disturbing and shocking that there are people in Georgia, young and old, who think that Georgia should not be able to breathe and its people should not be able to rejoice as long as Yukneviciene and Marta Kos have certain problems. Those problems are real, I say this with a little irony, perhaps, and I mention it with some sarcasm, but we must know one thing: we must look at it cold-bloodedly - they have their own interests. They have an interest in somehow diversifying Russia's aggression, including towards Georgia. Our interest is to prevent this, and the clash of these interests is causing this hysteria, because in the confrontation of these interests, a healthy political force wins.
Everything related to the criticism of this visit or any other action that brings dividends to Georgia should be viewed as a traitorous act of people who do not care about the homeland,” said Gia Volski.
For information, the Georgian parliamentary delegation is visiting Washington, D.C., in the United States. The delegation includes MPs Nikoloz Samkharadze, Mariam Lashkhi, and Lika Shartava.
