Health Minister and other officials visit Patriarch at clinic

Georgian Health Minister Mikheil Sarjveladze visited the Caucasus Medical Center to learn about the health status of Catholicos-Patriarch Ilia II.

According to Sarjveladze, doctors are doing their best to ensure the safety of the Patriarch and that all vital parameters are within normal limits.

“Doctors are doing everything they can to ensure the safety of the patient as much as possible.

Of course, given his age and everything else, the situation is not easy. The patient is currently in the intensive care unit, being monitored and all necessary measures are being taken to ensure that all vital parameters are maintained as quickly as possible,” Mikheil Sarjveladze told Imedi.

Other high-ranking officials were also at the Caucasus Medical Center.

For information, the Patriarch was admitted to the clinic with massive bleeding from the stomach. He is being placed in the critical resuscitation unit. As stated in the clinic, Ilia II's health condition is critical.
