Tbilisi City Hall - On March 21-22, buses, minibuses and the metro will serve passengers free of charge

According to the Tbilisi City Hall, on March 21-22, municipal transport will operate according to the already established routes and intervals, as for the metro, it will also serve passengers from 06:00 to 00:00 on both days.

"Tbilisi municipal transport - buses, minibuses and the metro will serve passengers free of charge on March 21-22.

The aforementioned decision was made by the State Commission established in connection with the funeral of the Catholicos-Patriarch of All Georgia, His Holiness and Beatitude Ilia II.

Municipal transport throughout the city will operate according to the already established routes and intervals, as for the metro, it will also serve passengers in the usual mode - from 06:00 to 00:00 on both days," reads the information.

Georgian Railways will also serve passengers free of charge.

Catholicos-Patriarch of All Georgia, His Holiness and Beatitude Ilia II, died at the age of 93. A national day of mourning has been declared in Georgia in connection with the death of Ilia II. The Patriarch will be buried on Sunday, March 22, at the Sioni Cathedral.
