Mourning bells will be rung in all active churches and monasteries across Georgia on March 21 and 22

According to a statement released by the Georgian Patriarchate, mourning bells will be sounded on March 21 and 22 at 12:00 PM in all churches and monasteries nationwide.

The Patriarchate also noted that the mourning bells will continue to ring through the day of the funeral, March 22.

For reference, the Catholicos-Patriarch of All Georgia, His Holiness and Beatitude Ilia II passed away at the age of 93 on March 17. A period of national mourning has been declared in Georgia, and he will be laid to rest on March 22 at Sioni Cathedral.
