Georgian and Indian organizations join forces post-Davos 2026 to advance women’s economic empowerment in agritech worldwide

To support women working in the agricultural sector, Business and Technology University (BTU) has launched a partnership with the Indian organization ADGA EXIM LLP. The agreement was reached during the World Economic Forum Annual Meeting in Davos and aims to empower women entrepreneurs in agriculture, promote the adoption of agricultural technologies in their business activities, raise awareness around Climate-Smart Agriculture, and strengthen entrepreneurial skills among blue-collar workers employed in the sector.

The initiative will begin in Georgia and India and will then gradually expand across the South Caucasus, Eastern Europe, and Central Asia.

The partnership will include:

  • the development of joint educational programs, training, and reskilling initiatives for women in AgriTech;
  • the exchange of trainers, mentors, and international experts;
  • the organization of seminars, workshops, webinars, and conferences;
  • collaboration on research and innovation projects, particularly in the field of sustainable agriculture;
  • support for women-founded startups through mentorship and access to international networks;
  • the development of trade and market-entry opportunities between Georgia and India.

In line with the Women’s Empowerment Principles (WEPs), BTU actively promotes gender equality, women’s leadership, and the strengthening of women’s professional opportunities across various sectors.
