A murder has occurred in Tbilisi. According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the accused, following a domestic dispute, inflicted stab wounds to the chest area of his mother and brother with a cold weapon, as a result of which both died at the scene.

“The employees of the Tbilisi Police Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs have detained D.R., born in 1971, on charges of intentional murder committed under aggravating circumstances against two family members.

The investigation established that the accused, as a result of a conflict that began on domestic grounds, inflicted injuries to his mother and brother in the chest area with a cold weapon, which led to both of them dying at the scene.

As a result of investigative actions carried out in the case, the police detained D.R. as the accused.

Law enforcement officers seized the weapon used in the crime as evidence.

The investigation is underway under Subparagraphs ‘L’ and ‘K’ of Article 109 (prima) of the Criminal Code, which предусматривает up to 20 years or life imprisonment,” the statement of the Ministry of Internal Affairs reads.
