Khvicha Kvaratskhelia will become the new captain of the Georgia national football team

The information was shared via the national team’s social media “story.”

It has also been announced that Otar Kiteishvili will serve as vice-captain.

For context, the current captain, Guram Kashia, announced on March 23 that he will end his 17-year international career at the age of 38. Kashia will play his final match for the national team in June, in a friendly against Romania.

Before that, during the March international break, Georgia will face Israel on March 26 in Tbilisi and Lithuania on March 29 in Kaunas.
