Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development Mariam Kvrivishvili met with the Ambassador of the United Kingdom to Georgia, Gareth Edward Ward.
According to the Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development, the parties discussed the dynamics of economic cooperation between the two countries.
“Particular attention was paid to the positive dynamics of direct air traffic between Georgia and the United Kingdom. It was noted that the launch of operations by British Airways and EasyJet in a short time has led to a rapid increase in passenger traffic between the two countries.
At the meeting, the Georgian side also focused on the mechanisms for enforcing sanctions in the field of maritime transport. The Minister noted that all procedures in Georgian ports fully comply with the current national and international Commitments that Georgia is meticulously fulfilling.
