The 131st meeting is underway in the village of Ergneti, located on the perimeter of the occupied territory, within the framework of the Incident Prevention and Response Mechanism in Gori Municipality.

As the Deputy Director of the Information and Analytical Department of the State Security Service noted before the meeting, the main topic of discussion of the meeting will be the issue of the release of persons from illegal detention.

According to Irakli Antadze, as of today, 11 persons are in illegal detention.

"At today's meeting, we will discuss all significant incidents recorded since the previous meeting, including illegal detentions, illegal so-called borderization facts, and also, with the support of our international partners, the issue of Ms. Tamar Mearakishvili, who was first illegally detained and then illegally expelled from the occupied Tskhinvali region, will be raised.

"In the period between the meetings, one case of illegal detention was recorded. As of today, 11 people are in illegal detention, and 7 cases of illegal so-called borderization were also reported.

In addition, the issue of free movement is a permanent item on our agenda, this issue is regularly discussed, and naturally, in connection with the upcoming glorious Easter holiday, this issue will definitely be raised so that the population can go to cemeteries without hindrance and return home safely," said Irakli Antadze.
