Ilia Darchiashvili appointed as Ambassador of Georgia to UK

Ilia Darchiashvili has been appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Georgia to the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland.

According to the Georgian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ilia Darchiashvili has also been appointed Permanent Representative of Georgia to the International Maritime Organization.

Ilia Darchiashvili was the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Georgia in 2022-2024;

In 2017-2021 - Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Georgia to the Republic of Poland.

Ilia Darchiashvili held the positions of Head of the Administration of the Government of Georgia and First Deputy Minister of Regional Development and Infrastructure. He also worked as Executive Director at the LEPL "Georgian Municipal Development Fund".

Ilia Darchiashvili has been granted the diplomatic rank of Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary,” reads the information.
