On April 3 at 12:00, at the invitation of the Locum Tenens of the Patriarchal Throne, Metropolitan Shio (Mujiri) of Senaki and Chkhorotsku, a session of the Holy Synod will take place at the Patriarchate of Georgia.
According to the Patriarchate’s Public Relations Service, the purpose of the meeting is to discuss organizational issues that are not specified in the Statute governing the administration of the Georgian Orthodox Church.
“These include additional details related to subsequent Synod sessions and the expanded assembly, the venue of the assembly, procedures for inviting delegates, and other necessary matters,” the statement says.
