Tamar Bagrationi visits Mirza-Fatali Akhundov Museum of Azerbaijani Culture together with Mehriban Aliyeva

The First Lady of the Republic of Azerbaijan Mehriban Aliyeva visited the Mirza-Fatali Akhundov Museum of Azerbaijani Culture, the Presidential Administration reports.

According to them, together with Mehriban Aliyeva, Tamar Bagrationi, the Minister of Culture of Georgia Tinatin Rukhadze, her deputy Giorgi Mirtskhulava, and the Director of the Mirza-Fatali Akhundov Museum of Azerbaijani Culture Leyla Aliyeva visited the museum.

The guests got acquainted with the history of the museum. They also toured the exhibition space and the Akhundov Cultural Center, where meetings, exhibitions and various cultural events are held.

"The museum was opened in 1982 on the occasion of the 170th anniversary of the great Azerbaijani playwright, public figure and writer, in the very building in which Mirza Akhundov lived. Mirza Akhundov's work is closely connected with Georgia, and his museum represents a cultural bridge between Georgia and Azerbaijan," reads the press release.
