According to a statement by “People’s Power,” after meeting with the parliamentary majority leader, they decided to support the introduction of the State Minister position for coordinating law enforcement bodies

Following consultations with the leader of the parliamentary majority, Irakli Kirtskhaliya, “People’s Power” decided to support the draft law introducing the position of State Minister for the Coordination of Law Enforcement Bodies.

This was stated by one of the leaders of “People’s Power,” Dimitri Khundadze, after the meeting with journalists.

According to him, he received answers from Kirtskhaliya to the questions he had raised, which created a basis for compromise.

“I had consultations with the majority leader on this issue yesterday. Some questions remained open, so it became necessary to have another meeting and communication this morning. Answers were provided to the questions, and these were complemented by a compromise on our part, after which we will support this decision. ‘People’s Power’ will support this decision,” Khundadze said.

He noted that the questions concerned the necessity of the decision and its functional aspects.

“The questions were about the need for this decision and its functional aspects. Most of the questions were answered, and these answers were accompanied by a compromise from our side, after which we will support this decision.

Our questions were not related to individuals. They concerned the necessity of this decision, the creation of the structure, and its functional aspects. So these questions went beyond personalities - they were more about the structure itself and the need for the decision made by the government and submitted to parliament as a draft law,” Khundadze stated.
