Kakha Kaladze on the Georgian-language news service of Poland’s public broadcaster: Poland has been observed engaging in hostile activities - we will probably hear an explanation, and appropriate steps will be taken to resolve this

“We will not allow anyone the right or the opportunity to create confrontation, organize a coup d’état, or stage a revolution in the country through external interference and funding,” said Tbilisi Mayor Kakha Kaladze while commenting on the launch of a Georgian-language news service by Poland’s public broadcaster.

As Kaladze told journalists, “Poland has been observed engaging in hostile activities.”

“It is regrettable. Poland is our friendly country. It was even more surprising that all of this is funded from the state budget. Georgia, which is a friendly country to Poland, has become a target of interest, and they have been observed engaging in hostile activities. There is a direct attack on the Georgian Church. All of this is very unfortunate. We will probably hear an explanation, and appropriate steps will be taken to regulate the situation. In general, I want to say that everything we have seen in Georgia in recent years has been imposed. All of this, of course, was carried out with the involvement, funding, and support of external actors—inciting confrontation among the Georgian people, fueling polarization and hostility. Everything connected to wrongdoing was imposed from outside and directly funded by foreign foundations or states. There are many examples, including attempts to organize a coup d’état, attempts at revolutions, and so on. This is all very serious. We see everything, we are monitoring it, and the relevant services are fully mobilized. We will not allow anyone the opportunity to create confrontation, organize a coup d’état, or stage a revolution in the country through external interference and funding,” Kaladze stated.

For information, the Georgian-language news service of Poland’s public broadcaster has begun operations, according to the Polish Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

“A new Georgian-language news service of Poland’s public broadcaster, TVP — VT Sakartvelo News — is now live,” the Polish Foreign Ministry wrote on X.

According to the ministry, “the program will provide reliable reporting and a European perspective.”
