Against the backdrop of the greatest challenges of the modern world, we must clearly understand: independence is not a given once and for all - independence is a value to be earned and defended every day, which requires great effort from us and imposes an immeasurable responsibility on us. Independence Day reminds us to be more resolute, united and only based on the interests of our country to determine what the future of Georgia will be, - the President of Georgia Mikheil Kavelashvili said in his speech at the solemn event dedicated to the Independence Day of Georgia.
According to him, we must always remember each hero who fought for independence, honor, preserve, protect and strengthen their achievements.
“We must always remember each hero who fought for independence, honor and preserve, protect and strengthen their achievements; do everything so that together with our Abkhazian and Ossetian sisters and brothers we can build a united, developed Georgia and leave a much stronger, more solid and free state for our children!
I would like to address our future generation: You are the tomorrow of this country. Your energy is the greatest driving force for the development of our country. God, homeland, people, language, homeland, faith, family purity - these are the eternal values that have determined our existence,” said Mikheil Kavelashvili
