Nika Gvaramia - The stage will be set up, we will definitely demand it, but I don't know who Igor Blažević is, I heard his name from the Georgian Dream

I can tell you with certainty that we have no plans to escalate the situation and we call on everyone, and first of all the government and its provocateurs, to refrain from this, - one of the leaders of the Opposition Alliance, Nika Gvaramia, told journalists at TSU regarding the May 26 rally, where representatives of the Opposition Alliance have gathered.

According to Gvaramia, a stage will be set up on Rustaveli Avenue, but if the opposition is not given the opportunity to do so, they will still find a way to address the public.

“We have no preconditions for not demanding the installation of the stage. We have not received a response to the last letter we sent, which means that it is not prohibited and, accordingly, the stage will be installed, we will definitely demand it. If this cannot be done, we will still hold our rally and still address people, I will not tell you here how…

There are plans, of course. We will talk about a plan of joint action not only with political parties, but also with people.

I can tell you for sure that we have no plans to escalate the situation and we call on everyone, and first of all, the government and its provocateurs, to refrain from this,” Gvaramia said.

He also responded to information spread by the state media, according to which the opposition will act on May 26 according to the plan written by Igor Blažević. According to Gvaramia, he does not know any Blažević and heard his name for the first time from the Georgian Dream.

“I have no idea who Blažević is. I know that he is a man and a Serb… The Serbs I know are Nikolaj Okić, Goran Ivanišević, Djoković, etc. I only know these Serbs, I do not know who Blažević is, I have never heard his name before, I heard it from the Georgian Dream”, - said Gvaramia.
