The fact that we saw is very bad, it cannot withstand criticism and it is very important that the state immediately responded - if there is any misconduct, violence on the part of the police, there will be an appropriate response, as in this specific case, - the mayor of the capital, the secretary general of the Georgian Dream, Kakha Kaladze, stated while assessing the footage released by TV Pirveli, which depicts the fact of violence committed by police officers.

In addition, as Kaladze noted, the TV company that released the said footage knew that the police officers involved in the violence were detained and "its released of the said footage served to cause excitement in society."

"The fact that we saw is very bad, it cannot withstand criticism, and it is very important that the state immediately responded and all three people, as we learned from the statement, have been held accountable. Here is the second unfortunate issue, that the specific television station, of course, knew about all this and did not intentionally disseminate all this. I think we all understand the reason, which is to cause excitement in society. This is not the first case when specific television stations manipulate specific issues, although the society sees the reality - it was difficult, which was followed by an immediate response from the state. This television station is really not required to have morality, and I think we should not even talk about it, because we know what these people are talking about, what their agenda is and what they are busy with, daily - lies, deceit, blackmail, slander. If there is misconduct, violence on the part of the police, it will be followed by an appropriate response. As soon as the fact was revealed, as soon as the General Inspectorate obtained the appropriate evidence, there was an immediate response and specific perpetrators were held accountable, this is very important," Kaladze said.
