The Ministry of Internal Affairs is providing official information about the murder that took place in Khashuri.

According to the agency, police have promptly solved the case of the intentional murder of two persons under aggravating circumstances.

The investigation established that, during an argument that began on the basis of a previous dispute, in the city of Khashuri, the accused fired a firearm, injuring two individuals, and then fled the scene.

The MIA notes that police have seized the weapon used in the crime as material evidence.

“Officers of the Shida Kartli Police Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs have arrested a previously convicted individual on charges of intentional murder of two persons under aggravating circumstances.

The investigation established that, during an argument that began on the basis of a previous dispute, in the city of Khashuri, the accused fired a firearm, injuring two individuals, and fled the scene.

As a result of the injuries sustained, both men died at the scene.

As a result of operational and investigative measures carried out by law enforcement officers, the perpetrator was arrested in flagrante delicto as the accused. Police have seized the weapon used in the crime as material evidence.

The investigation is being conducted under Article 109 of the Criminal Code, which provides for up to 20 years or life imprisonment,” the statement says.
