Giorgi Gakharia: Georgian Dream is openly demonstrating collaborationism with the occupying state

The leader of “For Georgia,” Giorgi Gakharia, accuses the ruling party of “Georgian Dream” of collaboration with Russia in relation to the occupied Tskhinvali region.

The former Prime Minister criticizes Georgian Dream over the rejection of a parliamentary resolution initiated by his party, which “condemns the ongoing annexation process.”

“Russia is accelerating the de facto annexation process of the occupied Tskhinvali region, aiming to integrate Georgian territories into the Russian Federation. For this purpose, a Russian official has been appointed to head the occupation administration, and the so-called ‘integration agreement’ signed on May 9, 2026 is being implemented at a rapid pace.

Against the backdrop of these extremely tragic developments, the Government of Georgia and Prime Minister Kobakhidze remain silent and refuse to condemn the gross violations of Georgia’s territorial integrity and sovereignty.

Georgian Dream is openly demonstrating collaborationism with the occupying state and continues to refuse to support the parliamentary resolution we initiated, which condemns the ongoing annexation process,” Gakharia wrote on X.
