Georgian Dream has responded to political opposition with coordinated physical violence, - the leader of Gakharia for Georgia, Giorgi Gakharia, writes on X.

According to him, violence is enabled by the impunity enjoyed by those at the highest levels of power.

“We entered Parliament not to leave citizens - including those who voted for Georgian Dream - alone with their needs and concerns, to use every parliamentary instrument to hold the government accountable and ensure that different voices are heard in Parliament. We have never wavered from that mission. Georgian Dream has responded to political opposition with coordinated physical violence. Our colleague, Giga Parulava, required medical attention. Today, in Georgia, serving in the opposition means risking your physical safety. This violence is enabled by the impunity enjoyed by those at the highest levels of power," Gakharia said.
