The Department for Combating Hate Speech has identified 170 alleged offences in the first month since its establishment

The Department for Combating Hate Speech of the Human Rights Protection Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs has identified 170 alleged offences in the first month since its establishment.

As the MIA told Interpressnews, 150 cases from the identified facts have already been submitted to the common courts.

“From June 1 to July 1, 2026, the Department for Combating Hate Speech has identified 170 alleged offences, of which 150 cases have already been submitted to the common courts.

Out of the 150 cases submitted to the common courts, a final decision has already been made by the courts in 33 cases. In 31 cases, a fine was imposed as a sanction, and in 2 cases, a verbal reprimand was issued,” the MIA told Interpressnews.
