Chemistry teaching in schools will start from the 7th grade, the Georgian Language and Literature subject will be divided, Georgian History will be studied as a separate subject, and students will no longer study World History from the 10th grade

In the 2026-2027 academic year, students will study certain subjects with a new hourly schedule. The corresponding hourly schedule has already been sent to schools, although it has not yet been officially approved.

According to the planned changes, unlike previous years, instead of the 8th grade, the teaching of Chemistry will start from the 7th grade. In addition, from the 7th grade, students will study Georgian Language and Literature as separate subjects. Also, from the 7th grade, Georgian History and World History will be studied as separate subjects.

At the same time, the teaching of Georgian Language and Literature and Mathematics has been increased at the elementary level.

Another novelty concerns the teaching of History in the 10th grade. According to the planned changes, the teaching of World History has been removed from the History subject, and from the 10th grade only Georgian History will be studied.
