The resolutions of the “collective Nats” and “Joe Wilsons” are not worth even a single euro, a single dollar, or a single cent, because they are absolutely saturated with lies, - stated Archil Gorduladze, a member of the parliamentary majority.
According to his explanation, “public trust in European structures and Western institutions in general is declining, and they have only themselves to blame.”
“They are covertly trying to label as political prisoners people who have been exposed and, in some cases, convicted for attempting to violently overthrow the government - people who participated in violent protests, tried to burn police officers, attacked and blocked state institutions, and at the same time set fire to the Parliament building. At the same time, they do not talk about which laws they want to repeal. In reality, they want the repeal of the ‘Family Values’ law and the law ‘On the Protection of Minors,’ which in itself means allowing LGBT propaganda in kindergartens and schools - something that is unacceptable. They also demand the repeal of the ‘Transparency Law’ - the repeal of a law that is much stricter in Joe Wilson’s own country, the United States, where the Foreign Agents Registration Act (FARA) is in force. This law has already been translated and is in effect in our country. At a time when there are calls in the United States to tighten FARA and relevant initiatives exist, Joe Wilson is the only person trying to get all of this repealed in our country.
To summarize, these people are only trying to attack the Georgian state and the Georgian people with resolutions, attacking their democratic choice. They allow themselves to think and say that they know better than Georgian society what is best for Georgia’s future, and they directly call on society to follow them. In the latest resolution, they directly wrote that the Church is supposedly under Russian influence. This is an unheard-of fact. With such statements, public trust in European structures and Western institutions in general is declining, and they have only themselves to blame,” Gorduladze stated.
