According to the Mayor of Tbilisi, Secretary General of the Georgian Dream, Kakha Kaladze, the measures taken by the investigative agencies prevented the crime of a coup d'état.

With this, Kaladze responded to the fact of the arrest of another defendant in the October 4 case.

"The relevant investigative agencies act at the highest level. We have seen a number of processes - how all this was planned, how they had been campaigning for several months, they said that they were preparing for a revolution. On October 4, they began to execute it. The relevant agencies carried out preventive measures. We have seen footage of the break-in at the presidential administration, however, the relevant units of the Ministry of Internal Affairs prevented the aforementioned criminal offense. Everyone must be held accountable," - said Kakha Kaladze.

According to him, the task of external forces is to overthrow the current government and use the country's interests for their interests.

"It is unimaginable that there would be constant attempts to overthrow, deepen polarization, etc. with the involvement of external forces. This was imposed from the outside, and large sums of money were spent for this. Even today, they are not resting and are trying to replace the current government with their own agents. We know why they need this, to use the interests of our country for their interests," Kakha Kaladze noted.
