According to her, Giorgi Giorgadze, who appeared as a witness at the court hearing, was transferred ownership of one of the properties by Ioseb Sigua in May - a property to which Sophio Sigua-Shatberava has no claims.

“I do not know why the hearing was closed. It was not my wish, but that decision was nevertheless made. The hearing was postponed because they said they did not have sufficient evidence and needed time to familiarize themselves with the case. Sigua’s three lawyers requested this. He presented two more false witnesses, who are senior police officials - Giorgi Rukhadze and Giorgi Giorgadze.

In May, Sigua transferred ownership of one of the properties, to which I had no claims, to his friend Giorgi Giorgadze.

I believe that senior police officials should not be witnesses in this case at all. They had no connection to my family.

My demand is that [Ioseb Sigua] should be subject to a restraining order and wear an electronic monitoring bracelet,” Sophio Sigua-Shatberava said.

Asked how she would respond to her former husband describing the legal dispute as absurd, Sophio Sigua-Shatberava said that “the absurdity is precisely that he and his lawyers are covering up violence and a crime with a property dispute that does not exist.”

“The Public Registry is accessible to everyone. Every property has two owners, so there can be no property dispute,” Sophio Sigua-Shatberava said.

As previously reported, Sophio Sigua-Shatberava initially said on “Nodar Meladze’s Saturday” that Ioseb Sigua had threatened to kill her, throw her from the 12th floor, put her in a barrel and bury her. Later, Shatberava said that law enforcement officers had placed an electronic monitoring bracelet on Ioseb Sigua. He has also been issued a restraining order and has been prohibited from carrying a firearm.
