Lasha Purtskhvanidze, the former director of “Greenservice+,” who was convicted in the case concerning the tragedy in Vake Park, has been released from prison early.
As he told TV Pirveli, he left the penitentiary yesterday.
“I left prison yesterday. Yes, I was released wearing an electronic monitoring bracelet. I applied to the parole commission, and that was their decision. I will not return to that company, although I cannot say what I plan to do - the future will show. For now, I am with my family,” Purtskhvanidze said.
The tragedy in Vake Park occurred on October 13, 2022, resulting in the death of 13-year-old Marita Mefarishvili. Two other teenagers, Andria Lortkiphanidze and Lazare Lobzhanidze, were injured.
Court proceedings in the case were conducted in two episodes. In one of them, the court found eight of the nine defendants guilty.
