The health condition of the tourists injured in a road accident near the village of Argveta on July 26 on the Kutaisi-Zestafoni road is stable.
The Zestaponi Multidisciplinary Medical Center Geo Hospitals released information on the health condition of the tourists. According to them, three patients were in the most serious condition, including a 17-year-old girl who suffered multiple injuries and a concussion. At this stage, two patients are receiving treatment in the intensive care unit.
"Upon receiving the report of the accident, all relevant services of the clinic were put on full alert. Receiving 13 injured patients at the same time is one of the most difficult challenges for any clinic, however, the coordinated and correct actions of the team allowed us to provide timely and highly qualified medical assistance to each patient. Emergency care, resuscitation, surgery, traumatology, neurology and diagnostic teams were mobilized together," said the head of Geo Hospitals, Director of the Zestaponi Multidisciplinary Medical Center, Irakli Laghidze.
According to Irakli Laghidze, the injured are foreign citizens and were traveling from Tbilisi to western Georgia on a tourist route.
For information, the traffic accident occurred on July 26 on the Zestaponi-Kutaisi road, during which a passenger bus skidded off the road.
