Tinatin Rukhadze is leaving the position of Minister of Culture. Rukhadze is distributing the corresponding statement on social media.
In the statement published on Facebook, Tinatin Rukhadze cites her health condition as the reason for the decision and expresses regret that her health condition does not allow her to devote the appropriate attention to the work that she loves very much and that is precious to her.
Rukhadze thanks the Prime Minister for the trust shown to her, as well as all members of the government and the ministry’s employees, and notes that she remains a supporter of the team.
“After consulting with the Prime Minister, I have made the decision to leave the position of Minister of Culture.
Due to my health condition, I will need to undergo a special course of treatment, because of which I will not be able to properly perform the duties of a minister. Culture is a field that requires special care and attention. I regret that my health condition does not allow me to devote the appropriate attention to the work that I love so much and that is the most precious to me.
I would like to thank the Prime Minister for the trust shown to me.
I thank each member of the government for their support and solidarity.
I thank everyone who supported our initiatives. Special thanks to each employee of the Ministry of Culture for their tireless work and loyal service.
