The congress of the United National Movement will be held on August 5.
“Due to the high interest of the public, we would like to inform you that on August 5, at 15:00, the 13th Congress of the United National Movement will be held at the “Hotels & Preference Hualing Tbilisi” hotel,” the party said in a statement.
The United National Movement will elect a new chairperson at the congress. As is known, Tina Bokuchava’s 2-year term of office expired on July 8 of this year.
In addition, as one of the leaders of the National Movement, Giorgi Baramidze, told the media, decisions on important reforms will be made at the congress.
"We will no longer elect the party chairman at the party meeting in the form it is now, nor will we elect the secretary general. We will also introduce a second innovation - party members will pay membership fees and help the party," Baramidze said.
