Acting Chairperson of the United National Movement Tina Bokuchava is attending the party congress. Bokuchava arrived at the Hotels & Preference Hualing Tbilisi at exactly 3:00 PM.

As Bokuchava noted, she had “several reasons for coming.”

“I am here for three reasons - first of all, to thank our supporters, who are delegates at the congress, for the trust they gave me 2 years ago to serve for 2 years as the chairwoman of the party.

Second: if anyone did not understand before, let them understand now that the main thing for me is the struggle and no position. The main thing is the struggle, dignity, truth and the victory that we must win.

The third reason is that I want to wish success to all those people who will take on the responsibility of leading the United National Movement at today’s congress. I have also received offers regarding certain positions today, but I believe that now the most correct thing for me would be to continue the struggle for a better future for my country as an ordinary member of the United National Movement Political Council. My request was that my candidacy not be nominated, therefore, no embarrassment should be created on this issue. This is a temporary body, which will be established for 6 months. I do not see myself in the temporary management structure," Bokuchava noted.
