The Georgian State Electrosystem released a statement regarding yesterday’s power outage throughout country.
According to the same report, after the system accidents that occurred in the country on July 24-25, certain works were underway at the Enguri HPP, namely, in order to study the relevant equipment of the station, it was necessary to operate the electrical system in an isolated mode, at frequencies different from the nominal frequency, which caused a temporary power outage across the country yesterday.
"The necessary measures were immediately taken to restore electricity, as a result of which electricity supply has already been restored," reads the statement.
