Russia is ready to expand pragmatic ties with Georgia, - said Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Galuzin.

"We are ready to further expand pragmatic ties with Tbilisi. It is clear that the key to Georgia's successful development lies not in confrontation with our country, but in cooperation," - said Galuzin.

According to him, "currently, there are no bilateral contacts between Russia and Georgia."

"As for bilateral political contacts, today they do not exist. The reason is the lack of readiness for such a dialogue from the Georgian side. Of course, it is difficult for me to assess how this helps Georgia in solving problems, but this is the decision of its government," - noted Galuzin.
