The Georgian Dream is disgusting! I promise that, following the footsteps of the Ukrainian people, I will make the true heroes of our time love Georgian art even more! - This is how musician Nikoloz Rachveli responds to the statement of the leader of the parliamentary majority, Irakli Kirtskhalia, which concerns the concerts held in Russia by individual representatives of Georgian culture, including Nikoloz Rachveli, after the August war.
Nikoloz Rachveli responds to Irakli Kirtskhalia’s statement with a post on the social network.
“I arrived in Kyiv from Lviv this evening, because I have a rehearsal with the orchestra tomorrow, we are preparing two festival programs at the same time.
I didn’t even get to my apartment when the alarm went off and ballistic missiles fell all around… I ran to the shelter… Then I returned home, because I have to sort out the sheet music by tomorrow… It’s calm for a while, but at dawn we are still expecting an aggressive Russian attack… And I am preparing for the rehearsal…
So, tell me now, is this Kvirtskhalia (I think I remember his name correctly) ready to endure this reality in order to do good tomorrow?
Georgian Dream is disgusting!
And I promise you that, following in the footsteps of the Ukrainian people, I will make the true heroes of our time love Georgian art even more!
I have found my mission!
If Putin’s bloody regime is not f…ed, I will give up my God-given right to life and happiness, because justice is the highest value and above all, the soul of Giorgi Antsukhelidze deserves it!” - Nikoloz Rachveli writes in a post published on the social network last night.
As a reminder, the representative of the Georgian Dream, the leader of the parliamentary majority, Irakli Kirtskhalia, made the following statement yesterday: “Many people serve foreign interests, an example of this is the list of so-called cultural figures who did not shy away from working in Russia in 2008-2022, among them are the “Sukhishvili family”, Nikoloz Rachveli and Paata Burchuladze”.
